How this tracker works
A script on our server visits each manager’s official yield page every morning, reads the published effective annual yield, and checks it: KES yields must be between 3% and 25%, USD yields between 0.5% and 12%, and a value that moves more than 4 percentage points in a day is held for review. If a page cannot be read or a value fails a check, the last good value stays up and is marked as such.
Only funds whose manager publishes a yield on a public page are listed. Most managers publish only in monthly factsheets or inside their apps; those funds are in our full list of 59 MMFs. Different managers quote different measures (daily rate, 3-month average), shown in the Yield type column. Yields are before 15% withholding tax and are not guaranteed.
Frequently asked questions
Which money market fund has the highest rate today?
Sort the table by yield. It covers only funds that publish a yield online, so a higher-yielding fund may not be listed.
How often are MMF rates updated?
Our table refreshes every morning. Managers update their own figures daily, weekly or quarterly, as shown in the As at column.
Why is my fund missing?
Its manager does not publish a current yield on a public web page we can read. Ask the manager for its latest factsheet.
