Business Radar is an independent Kenyan business news website. This policy explains how we research, write, check and correct what we publish, so readers know what to expect from every article, guide and calculator on the site.
Who we are
Business Radar is edited by Norah Waceke, a business journalist with more than eight years of experience covering Kenya’s economy, companies and markets. She previously worked at Kenyans.co.ke and is a graduate of Multimedia University of Kenya. The editor is responsible for what appears on the site.
Independence
We are editorially independent and are not affiliated with any political party, company or government body. Advertisers and partners have no say over what we cover or how we cover it. Contributed opinion pieces are labelled, and the views in them are those of their authors.
Sources and accuracy
- We rely first on official and primary sources: regulators, government agencies, institutions, company filings and published statements.
- Figures such as fees, tax bands, interest rates and fund yields are checked against the issuing body before publication, and each page names its sources in a closing Sources line.
- Where a figure changes often or depends on your circumstances, we mark it as indicative so you can confirm it with the institution before you act.
- We do not publish information about private individuals.
Calculators and guides
Our calculators apply the rules published by the relevant authority at the time of the last update. Results are estimates to help you plan; they are not financial, tax or legal advice. Guides are reviewed and updated when the underlying rules or fees change, and each page shows when it was last updated.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it. Email editor@businessradar.co.ke with the article link and the detail you believe is wrong. We review every request and correct confirmed errors promptly.
