Mashujaa Day falls on October 20 every year, and it is the day Kenya honours the men and women who fought for independence and those who have served the country since. In 2026 the national celebrations are being held at Kipchoge Keino Stadium in Eldoret, co-hosted by Uasin Gishu, Nandi and Elgeyo Marakwet counties, under the theme “Security, Sports and the Economy”.
