IG (Invest and Grow) Sacco, headquartered at IG Sacco Plaza in Kakamega, paid 17% on share capital and 12.2% on deposits for 2025, the same as 2024. It also pays a separate 15% on its investment shares, the Plaza shares. The calculator below is set to the 12.2% deposit rate.

Size and Membership
For 2024, IG reported 28,796 active members, 16,623 of whom have their salaries paid through its FOSA. Assets grew 4% to KSh 14.6 billion and income rose to KSh 1.99 billion. Its loan portfolio grew 17% to KSh 12.3 billion, so most of the balance sheet is lent out to members. That is what pays the 12.2%, but it also leaves less cash in reserve.
Example
KSh 200,000 in deposits at 12.2% earns KSh 24,400. KSh 30,000 in shares at 17% earns KSh 5,100. Together that is KSh 29,500, or KSh 28,025 after the 5% withholding tax.

For the last payout, IG let members get their dividend through its Pesa Pepe mobile channel by dialling *879# or *806#.
Joining IG Sacco
You can download the membership registration form and the paybill forms from the downloads page of IG’s website. Hand in the completed form at a branch. If your salary is paid through IG’s FOSA, as it is for more than half of active members, your monthly contributions can be deducted there.
