Khetia’s Supermarket has roughly 25 to 30 branches, most of them in western Kenya and the North Rift, with a growing number around Nairobi, Central Kenya and Meru. The chain grew out of a wholesale shop opened in 1982 on Laini Moja Street in Kitale, and its head office is still in Kitale. This guide lists the branches by region, with the newest openings in Kahawa West (2025) and Kapsabet (2026), and gives the company’s head office contacts.

About Khetia’s

Khetia’s started as a wholesale business in Kitale, Trans Nzoia County, according to the company. It later added the Khetia’s Supermarket chain, which it markets as “a world of choice”, alongside its wholesale division and Khetia Drapers, a clothing and textiles store in Kitale. From Kitale it spread to Eldoret, Bungoma, Webuye, Kakamega, Busia and Kisumu, before moving into Nairobi’s northern suburbs, Thika, Nyeri, Naivasha and Meru.

Recent openings have been announced on LinkedIn by Ashok Khetia, who led the team at the Kapsabet launch. Opening hours

Most Khetia’s supermarkets open around 8am and close between 8pm and 9pm, with shorter hours on Sundays and public holidays at some branches. Hours differ by branch and change during festive seasons, so confirm with the branch or the head office before late shopping trips.
