Chania Genesis contacts by office

The Nairobi head office line is 0707 717 185, with opening hours of Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and Saturday 8am to noon. Phone numbers can change, so confirm with the office when booking. If a branch line is busy, call Nairobi and ask to be connected.

Chania Genesis parcel services

“Chania Genesis parcel” is one of the most searched phrases about the company, because many traders and families use it to move goods between Nairobi and the coast. Here is how it works:

1. Drop off: take the parcel to the nearest Chania Genesis office. In Nairobi that is Jasper House on River Road. On the coast, use the Mombasa, Ukunda, Mtwapa, Kilifi or Malindi office.
2. Get a quote: staff check the size, weight and type of goods. Price depends on size and type, so there is no single published rate.
3. Pay and keep the receipt: the receipt carries the parcel details you need for tracking.
4. Tell the receiver: send them the receipt details, the bus or travel date, and the destination office number from the table above.
5. Collection: the receiver collects at the destination office with an ID.

For a parcel to or from Mombasa, the Mombasa lines 0719 821 432 and 0700 506 371 are the ones to call. For Ukunda and Diani, use 0700 565 881.

Routes Chania Genesis serves

The company’s offices show where its buses go. The main corridor is Nairobi to Mombasa through Mlolongo and Voi, continuing up the coast to Mtwapa, Kilifi and Malindi, and south to Ukunda. Chania Genesis also has offices in Thika, Nyeri, Nakuru and Kitui for central and eastern Kenya routes. Ask the office for the exact departure times and boarding points on your route, because they change with season and demand.

How to book a Chania Genesis ticket

There is no official Chania Genesis online booking portal. You can book in three ways:

• At the office: walk into any office, choose your departure time and pay for your ticket.
• By phone: call the office you are leaving from to reserve a seat, then pay through the method the office confirms.
• Through a bus booking app: check whether your route is listed on a licensed bus booking platform.

Never pay a personal number that messages you claiming to sell Chania Genesis seats. Call the office in the table above to confirm the payment details first.

Tips for travelling on the Nairobi to Mombasa route

• Book two or three days ahead for Friday night buses and the days before public holidays.
• Arrive at least 30 minutes early with your ID so luggage can be loaded.
• Keep valuables and your phone with you, not in the luggage hold.
• If someone is sending you fare, check the transfer cost with our M-Pesa charges calculator.
