I&M dividend history shows payouts rising from KSh 1.50 per share for 2021 to KSh 3.75 for 2025 (a KSh 1.50 interim plus a KSh 2.25 final). Since 2024, I&M Group has paid two dividends a year: an interim announced in late November and paid in mid-January, and a final paid in May. If the pattern holds, the next interim announcement for 2026 would come around late November 2026. Below is every payout, totals by year and how to qualify.

Total dividend per share by financial year
| Financial year | Interim | Final | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2021 | – | KSh 1.50 | KSh 1.50 |
| 2022 | – | KSh 2.25 | KSh 2.25 |

| 2025 | KSh 1.50 | KSh 2.25 | KSh 3.75 |
The total has risen every year in this period, and the move to an interim payment from 2024 means shareholders now receive cash twice a year. The FY2025 total of KSh 3.75 was 25% higher than the KSh 3.00 paid for 2024.
When is the next I&M dividend?
The interim for FY2024 was announced on 20 November 2024, and the FY2025 interim was announced on 20 November 2025, both with book closure in mid-December and payment on 14 January. That makes late November the month to watch for the 2026 interim. To receive it, you would need to own the shares before the book closure date the company sets. We will update this page when the announcement is made; meanwhile, track all upcoming dates in our NSE dividend calendar.
Reading the I&M dividend history as an investor
The I&M dividend history tells a simple story: a bank that paid one dividend a year until 2023, then switched to two payments and raised the total each year. For an income investor, the move to an interim is useful because cash arrives in January as well as May. It does not change the total you receive, but it smooths your income. What matters more is whether profits keep growing, since dividends come out of earnings. Check the half-year results in August and the full-year results in March, when the board announces the final dividend, before assuming the I&M dividend history will repeat.

To calculate the yield, divide the annual dividend by the price you pay per share. Our dividend yield explainer shows the maths and why a single year’s yield can mislead. For comparison with other lenders, see KCB’s dividend history and the KCB vs I&M Bank comparison.
How to make sure you get paid
