Taptap Send Kenya: M-Pesa Limits, No-Fee Transfers and Support

Taptap Send Kenya guide: no-fee transfers to M-Pesa (KES 150,000 per transaction), Airtel Money and any Kenyan bank, sending limits by country and how to get help.

Taptap Send Kenya: M-Pesa Limits, No-Fee Transfers and Support

Taptap Send Kenya transfers go to M-Pesa, Airtel Money or any Kenyan bank account from the UK, EU, US, Canada, Australia or the UAE, and Taptap Send says it charges no transfer fee on transfers to Kenya, earning instead from the exchange rate. M-Pesa transfers are capped at KES 150,000 per transaction and Airtel Money at KES 250,000, while bank transfer limits depend on the country you send from. This guide covers payout options, limits, what happens if you make a mistake, and how to contact support.

Updated 1 November 2026 from Taptap Send’s Kenya page. Rates and limits can change; the app shows your exact figures before you pay.

How to send money to Kenya with Taptap Send

Sent to the wrong number? Read this first

Taptap Send is blunt about mistakes. If you enter the wrong phone number and it belongs to a valid mobile money account, the money cannot be reversed. If only the name is wrong but the number is correct, the recipient should still receive the money. For bank transfers, a wrong name or account number cannot be reversed once processed. You can edit details before the final payment confirmation, so check them carefully at that step. For how M-Pesa handles reversals inside Kenya, see M-Pesa send money guide.

Support and alternatives

Taptap Send’s support email is support@taptapsend.com, and the app has an in-app help section and FAQs. Compare it with other services: M-Pesa Global lets Kenyans abroad send from their own M-Pesa, and a Kenyan bank account opened from abroad can receive large transfers. For how much the diaspora sends home, see the latest CBK remittance figures.
