How to find your nearest Jumia pickup station in Kiambu

  1. Add your items to the cart on the Jumia app or website and tap “Checkout”.
  2. Under delivery, set your region to Kiambu and pick your town, for example Ruiru, Juja or Thika.
  3. Choose “Pickup Station” instead of door delivery.
  4. Look through the stations shown. Each shows its address, landmarks, opening hours and the delivery fee to that station.
  5. Pick the one closest to home, work or campus and confirm the order.

When your order arrives, Jumia sends an SMS and email that your parcel is ready to collect. Carry your national ID or the order number, and the person at the station checks it before handing over the parcel. If you chose pay on delivery, pay using the options shown in your order details.

Pickup station or door delivery in Kiambu?

Pickup stations are usually cheaper than door delivery, and they are handy if you are at work during the day or live in a plot where riders struggle to find the gate. Door delivery suits bulky items such as fridges, TVs and furniture, which some small agent stations cannot hold. In busy towns like Ruiru and Juja, with many students at JKUAT and Zetech, campus area stations fill up quickly before the semester starts, so collect your parcel soon after the SMS arrives.

Tips for Kiambu shoppers

  • Collect on time. Stations only hold parcels for a limited period, shown in your order SMS. Uncollected orders go back to Jumia and you then need to ask for a refund.
  • Check the parcel before you leave. Open it at the counter where the shop allows, and report a damaged or wrong item from your Jumia account straight away.
  • Use the Jumia app to track. The app shows when the parcel leaves the warehouse on Mombasa Road and when it reaches your station.
  • Want to earn from parcels? Shops can apply to become pickup stations through the Jumia partner programme. If you run a small shop, see our guide to legal requirements to start a business.
