Which branch should you use?

Members in Embu town and its surroundings should use the head office branch at Winas Plaza, since it handles the widest range of services, including membership applications, loan appraisal and board-level complaints. Members in Mbeere, such as Siakago, Kiritiri and Ishiara, have their own branches and do not need to travel to Embu for routine deposits or statements. In Ukambani, Wote serves Makueni County, while Kibwezi and Mbumbuni are smaller offices. Matuu, Masii and Tala serve Machakos County and are the closest branches for members living in Nairobi and Thika.

How to reach Winas Sacco customer care fastest

  1. Call 0709 506 000 during working hours. Have your member number and ID number ready so the agent can find your account quickly.
  2. Email info@winassacco.com for anything that needs a paper trail, such as disputed deductions, loan statements or a change of next of kin. Put your full name, member number and phone number in the subject line.
  3. Use the mobile app and agents for everyday transactions. The Sacco says members no longer need to visit a branch to deposit, withdraw or repay loans, and its agents serve members during and after working hours, on weekends and on holidays.
  4. Visit a branch for membership registration, loan forms that need signatures and guarantors, and account changes that need original documents.

Winas Sacco agents

Winas runs a network of agents, marked with Winas Sacco signage, where members can withdraw cash, deposit cash, repay loans and pay share contributions. If you want to become an agent, the Sacco asks you to visit any branch to get the requirements and fill in the application forms.

Common issues and who to contact

  • Loan status and appraisal: call the main line or visit the branch where you applied. Loans are usually appraised at the branch that holds your file.
  • Problems with the mobile app or new e-channels: the Sacco says staff at every branch, and on phone, email and WhatsApp, are on standby to help with registration and transition problems.
  • Check-off deductions for teachers: confirm the figure on your payslip first, then email the Sacco with a copy of the payslip if it does not match your loan schedule.
  • Dividends and interest on deposits: rates are announced at the annual general meeting. Use our Sacco dividend calculator to estimate your payout once the rate is out.
  • Joining the Sacco: visit a branch with your ID and KRA PIN, or call to ask about joining by phone.

Plan a Winas Sacco loan before you call

You will save time on the phone if you already know roughly what you qualify for. Our Winas Sacco loan calculator shows monthly repayments for different amounts and periods, and the loan affordability calculator checks whether a repayment fits your net pay. To compare Winas with other Saccos, see all Sacco loan calculators and our guide to bank vs Sacco loans.

Staying safe

Winas staff will not ask for your PIN or app password. Before sending money, check that you are paying an official Winas channel, and confirm the Sacco’s licence on the SASRA licensed Saccos list. If someone calls claiming to be from the Sacco and asks for money to speed up a loan, hang up and call 0709 506 000 yourself.
