Financial year Dividend on share capital Interest on deposits
2025 17.5% 12.2%

Background

Ollin was registered on 14 June 1976 as Muhigia Sacco Society and took the Ollin name in 2014. Its head office is the Ollin Sacco Building, off the Karatina-Kutus road in Kerugoya.

Example

KSh 250,000 in deposits at 12.2% earns KSh 30,500. KSh 40,000 in shares at 17.5% earns KSh 7,000. Together that is KSh 37,500, or KSh 35,625 after the 5% withholding tax. The example uses KSh 40,000 in shares because that is the minimum share capital Ollin asks for before you can take a long-term loan.

How to Become a Member

Pick up the membership application form at a branch or download it, fill it in, and hand it in with a copy of your national ID or passport. Ollin says it charges no membership fee. To qualify for long-term loans you need at least KSh 40,000 in share capital, so many members build up their shares over time through regular contributions.
