Supply Tenders in Kenya: Open Goods Tenders Updated Daily

Updated 17 October 2026

Supply tenders are where most small businesses start with government. Every day, public bodies advertise for goods: stationery and printing, food and catering supplies, uniforms, computers, furniture, medical supplies, fuel, cleaning materials, vehicles and spare parts. The list below shows every open goods and supplies tender on Kenya’s public tender portal, refreshed each morning.

Finding the Right Supply Tender

Search for what you sell rather than scrolling. Try words like “stationery”, “food”, “uniform”, “laptops”, “drugs”, “fuel” or “furniture”. Then use the county filter to focus on buyers near you, which keeps delivery costs down. Many supply tenders are framework agreements, where an entity picks several suppliers to deliver as and when needed over a year or two. These are shown with the method “Framework Agreements”.

Documents You Usually Need

• Certificate of incorporation or business name registration, and a CR12 for companies.
• KRA PIN and a valid tax compliance certificate.
• For regulated goods, the relevant licence, for example a Pharmacy and Poisons Board licence for medicines or an Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority licence for fuel.
• Manufacturer authorisation or product brochures where the tender asks for a specific brand or specification.
• An AGPO certificate if the tender is reserved for youth, women or persons with disabilities.

Tips for Supply Bids

• Match the specifications exactly. A quote for a “similar” item is often marked non-responsive.
• Price realistically, including delivery. Government pays only after delivery and inspection, so plan your cash flow.
• Keep your tax compliance certificate valid. An expired one disqualifies the bid.
