The best web hosting in Kenya depends on what you are building. For the lowest entry price, Hostiko’s Starter plan costs KSh 800 a year. For a cPanel plan that hosts up to 10 sites with daily backups, Truehost’s WebHosting Starter is KSh 2,500 a year. HostPinnacle’s Starter plan, at KSh 4,200 a year before VAT, bundles a free domain with LiteSpeed servers. All three take M-Pesa and have Nairobi-based support. The table below compares their plans, renewals and domain prices, captured on 2 November 2026.

|---|---|---|
| HostPinnacle | Free with Starter, Standard and Executive plans | Check at renewal |

Each host in brief
HostPinnacle
HostPinnacle runs LiteSpeed servers with NVMe storage and lets every plan host unlimited websites. Its Starter, Standard and Executive plans include a free .co.ke, .com or .org domain, M-Pesa integration and 1,000+ templates. Downsides: prices are shown before VAT, and the Executive plan at KSh 12,500 a year is more than most small sites need. See HostPinnacle hosting plans (affiliate link).
Hostiko
Hostiko is the cheapest way in, at KSh 800 a year for a single site with 5 GB of storage and a free SSL certificate. It uses DirectAdmin rather than cPanel and accepts M-Pesa, Visa and Mastercard through PesaPal. Downsides: the Starter and Business plans cap the number of domains, and its .co.ke renewal (KSh 1,700) is higher than Truehost’s. New customers get 10% off their first hosting order with code RADAR at Hostiko (affiliate link).
Truehost
Truehost is KeNIC’s largest domain registrar and has run hosting in Kenya for more than ten years. Its WebHosting Starter plan hosts up to 10 sites on cPanel with 30 GB of SSD storage and free daily backups, and every plan includes free SSL, website migration, unlimited email accounts and a website builder. Downsides: the cheapest monthly equivalent needs a three-year term, and monthly billing on the Starter plan is KSh 500 a month. See Truehost web hosting (affiliate link).
Which host suits you?
- A single small site or landing page on a tight budget: Hostiko Starter.
- Several small sites, WordPress and daily backups: Truehost WebHosting Starter.
- A busy shop or site that needs more server power and a free domain: HostPinnacle Starter or Standard.
- Agencies hosting many client sites: Truehost Pro or Unlimited, or HostPinnacle reseller plans.
What to check before you pay
- Renewal price: introductory and multi-year deals often renew higher.
- Backups: daily automatic backups save you if a site is hacked.
- Email: if you want info@yourbusiness.co.ke, check the email account limit.
- Control panel: cPanel is the most common in Kenya and most tutorials use it.
- Support: test live chat before buying, and ask whether support works on weekends.
- Data protection: if your site collects customer data, you have duties under the Data Protection Act. Ask where the host’s servers are and how backups are kept.
