Published interest rates

According to Imarika Sacco’s official site (imarikasacco.co.ke, checked 13 October 2026), its loans are priced as follows:

  • Development / Normal loan (1.167% p.m.)
  • Smart loan (1.125% p.m.)
  • Ufanisi / Karibu loan (1.25% p.m.)
  • Boda Boda loan (17% p.a.)

Pick a product from the dropdown to load its rate. If your loan offer shows a different figure, type that in instead.

Getting the most from this tool

Try a few scenarios: different amounts, shorter and longer terms, and both calculation methods. A longer term lowers the monthly deduction but raises the total interest. Flat-rate loans charge interest on the full amount for the whole term, so they cost more than reducing-balance loans at the same headline rate.

How much can you borrow?

Most SACCO loans depend on your deposits. A common rule is up to three times your savings, backed by guarantors who are fellow members. Ask the Sacco for its exact multiplier. Your ability to repay, usually judged from your payslip or business income, also caps the amount.

Before you apply

Check your deposit balance, confirm your guarantors still have enough free deposits, and make sure your monthly net pay can absorb the new deduction. Clearing small loans first and keeping your contributions current both make approval faster at Imarika Sacco.

Plan ahead

Once you have a figure, save or print the repayment schedule and compare it with your monthly budget. If the deduction feels tight, extend the term a little or reduce the amount, then check again. Small changes can make a big difference to both affordability and the total interest you pay.

FAQs

Is the result exact?

It is an estimate. Your final installment depends on the rate in your loan agreement, the repayment start date and any charges.

Can I repay early?

Many SACCOs allow early repayment or loan top-ups. Confirm the terms with Imarika Sacco.
