What you can get at a MOGO branch

  • Car logbook loans: borrow against your car’s logbook and keep driving it.
  • Car loans: finance a car from MOGO’s own stock or from approved dealers. MOGO advertises financing from a 20% deposit on special offers and 30% on dealer cars.
  • Boda boda loans: own a new boda with a 20% down payment, or a second-hand boda from KSh 19,000 down, with daily repayments.
  • Tuk-tuk loans: MOGO advertises tuk-tuk logbook loans of up to KSh 250,000 and tuk-tuk financing with daily payments.
  • Check-off loans: loans for civil servants and TSC teachers repaid from payroll, advertised from KSh 5,000 to KSh 2,000,000.
  • Cars for sale and auctions: MOGO sells repossessed and damaged cars, with auctions on a cash basis.

What to carry when you visit

  • Original national ID and KRA PIN certificate. Get your PIN first if you do not have one, using our KRA PIN guide.
  • For logbook loans: the original logbook in your name and the vehicle itself for valuation.
  • Recent M-Pesa or bank statements to show your income.
  • For check-off loans: your latest payslips.

Check the cost before you sign

Logbook loans are secured, but they are usually more expensive than bank or Sacco loans and missing payments can cost you the vehicle. Ask for the total cost of credit in writing, including all fees and insurance. Compare it with a bank loan or Sacco loan, and use our loan cost checker to see what you will really pay. Always pay MOGO through the official payment options shown on its website or the *695# menu, never to a personal number.
