What “bottomless” actually includes

The word means different things at different hotels, so read the small print:

  • Sarova Panafric sells two tickets: brunch only at KSh 5,000, or bottomless at KSh 5,500, which pairs the food with select alcoholic, non-alcoholic and soft drinks. The KSh 500 difference is the cheapest “bottomless” upgrade we found.
  • Villa Rosa Kempinski includes flowing cocktails, fine wines and select beers in the adult price. Premium whiskey is extra, from a separate a la carte selection.
  • Fairmont The Norfolk prices the brunch and the unlimited cocktails separately, so a bottomless adult ticket works out at KSh 8,500.

“Select” drinks usually means house pours, not the full bar list. If you want a particular wine or spirit, ask whether it is inside the package.

Cheapest and best-value options

If you want the cheapest bottomless brunch in Nairobi, start with price. On price alone, Sarova Panafric at KSh 5,500 is the lowest bottomless ticket among the hotels we checked, but it runs only on the first Sunday of the month. Kempinski’s early-booking rate of KSh 6,000 with drinks included beats its walk-in price by KSh 900 per adult, and its “Dine 10, Pay 8” offer for adult groups of ten or more booked two weeks ahead cuts the cost per head further. For a family of two adults and two children aged 8 and 10, the published prices work out at about KSh 16,000 at Sarova Panafric (bottomless) and KSh 20,700 at Kempinski (walk-in) or KSh 18,000 with the early rate.

Family-friendly brunch in Nairobi

Both Sarova Panafric and Kempinski build their brunch around families. Sarova lists swimming, arts and crafts, a PlayStation, a bouncy castle and a live band. Kempinski lists games, crafts and a kids’ cinema. Check the age bands, because they differ: Sarova charges children from 7 to 12, Kempinski from 6 to 12 (under-5s free), and the Norfolk from 5 to 12.

How to book

  1. Pick the date first. Sarova runs monthly on the first Sunday; Kempinski announces each “Tour de Brunch” date, the next being 8 November 2026.
  2. Book ahead. Kempinski’s lower rate needs a booking at least two weeks before; call +254 703 049 000 or use the hotel’s site.
  3. Ask what is in the drinks package and whether service charge is included.
  4. Plan transport. A bottomless afternoon is a good reason to use a taxi rather than drive.

Christmas brunch and December

Hotels usually announce Christmas Day and New Year brunches in November, at higher prices than the regular Sunday brunch. We will add confirmed festive brunch prices to the Weekend Ledger as hotels publish them.
