Co-op Bank’s dividend for the 2025 financial year was a record KSh 2.50 per share: an interim dividend of KSh 1.00 paid on 4 December 2025 and a final dividend of KSh 1.50 paid on 5 June 2026 to shareholders on the register at the close of business on 30 April 2026. For 2026, the bank’s half-year results released in August showed no interim dividend for the six months to June, so the next Co-op Bank dividend announcement to watch is with the third-quarter or full-year 2026 results.

Years not shown (2020 and 2022) are left out because we did not find the figure in a Co-op Bank document we could open; check the bank’s annual reports. The 2023 figure is from the comparative column in the bank’s audited 2024 results.
What the 2025 Co-op Bank dividend means in shillings
The 2025 payout of KSh 2.50 was 67% higher than the KSh 1.50 paid for each of 2023 and 2024, and the first year in this table with both an interim and a final dividend. On 1,000 shares, KSh 2.50 a share is KSh 2,500 before tax; after 5% withholding tax for Kenyan residents you receive KSh 2,375. Non-residents pay 15%.
The final dividend resolution was passed at the bank’s 18th AGM in May 2026 with 100% of votes cast in favour, according to the bank’s published poll results.
Is there a Co-op Bank interim dividend for 2026?
Not yet. The group’s unaudited results for the period ended 30 June 2026, published on 12 August 2026, show no dividend per share for the half-year. That matches last year’s pattern: the 30 June 2025 statement also showed no half-year dividend, yet the bank went on to pay a KSh 1.00 interim on 4 December 2025. Any 2026 interim would be announced in a notice from the bank; watch our NSE dividend calendar.
Earnings have risen: the group reported basic earnings per share of KSh 3.08 for the half-year to June 2026, against KSh 2.41 a year earlier.

- Keep your payment details current with your stockbroker or the registrar so the dividend reaches your bank account or M-Pesa.
- Check for unclaimed payouts if you have old shares; see how to claim unclaimed dividends.
