The PSC recruits for ministries, state departments and many other public bodies. Vacancies are posted on the PSC jobs portal at pscims.publicservice.go.ke, where you create an account and apply online. The charter sets these timelines from the close of an advert:

PSC Examination Fees
For serving officers sitting PSC examinations, the charter lists these fees, paid through eCitizen:

First-time candidates submit the eCitizen receipt, a filled Form A and a passport-size photo on a white background, with copies of academic certificates, the letter of first appointment and national ID; Administrative Officers also attach their induction and paramilitary course certificates. Referred candidates use Form B. Results are due 60 days after the last paper, and certificates within 60 days of results. PSC Kenya Contacts Scam Warning
Fraudsters use fake PSC numbers and WhatsApp accounts to sell “guaranteed” government jobs or ask for “processing fees”. The PSC charter lists recruitment as free.
