Hazina Sacco fees for a new member are a one-off KSh 1,000 registration fee, share capital of at least KSh 16,000 (the December 2024 level, rising by KSh 1,000 a year), a minimum monthly deposit of KSh 1,000 or 5% of basic salary, and a KSh 200 monthly welfare (benevolent fund) contribution. Loans then cost between 1% and 1.2% a month on a reducing balance for BOSA products, 1.1% to 1.17% for FOSA salary loans, and a once-off 5% to 10% charge on mobile loans. Here is every published Hazina Sacco charge, with examples.

Hazina Sacco fees not published
Hazina’s public documents do not list a loan processing or appraisal fee, a loan insurance premium, or a membership exit fee. The loan form says “Charges” are deducted at appraisal, so ask the loans office (0712 149 631) what will be deducted before you sign. To leave, Hazina’s downloads page has a Member Exit Interview Form; refund timelines are set in the by-laws, which are not online.
How Hazina compares
A 1% monthly reducing rate is roughly 12% a year, competitive with bank personal loans; see bank vs Sacco loans and best banks for personal loans. For branches, phone numbers and the paybill, see our Hazina Sacco branches and contacts page.
