Trident Insurance Contacts for Payments: Paybill and Branches
Trident does not publish an M-Pesa paybill number on its website, and it does not list branch addresses, although its company profile mentions a “country wide branch network”. So before you pay a premium, call 0734 330 036 or email customerservice@trident.co.ke and ask for the paybill and account reference in writing. Only pay to a number Trident confirms, and keep the M-Pesa message as proof. If an agent or broker gives you a paybill, check it with the company first. Our guide to paying a paybill explains the account-number mistakes that hold up payments.
How to Report a Trident Insurance Claim
Of the Trident Insurance contacts, the quickest route is the “Report a Claim” button on trident.co.ke, followed by a call to customer care. Trident’s product pages set out these steps:
| Cover | When to report | Documents Trident lists |
|---|---|---|
| Fire and perils | Within 3 days of the loss | Claim form, police abstract, stock records and purchase receipts |
| Burglary | Immediately after you discover it | Claim form, police abstract, stock records and receipts, within about 3 to 7 days of reporting |
| Goods in transit | Within 3 days, or within a reasonable time | Claim form, police abstract, driver’s licence, records of the goods and approval to transport them |
For every claim, Trident asks you to take reasonable steps to stop the loss getting worse. If you have not claimed before, our explainer on how insurance claims work in Kenya covers assessors, excess and how long settlement takes.
What Trident Insurance Covers
Trident is a general insurer, so it does not sell life cover or pensions. Its online product list includes:
- Motor: private cars, commercial vehicles, PSV, taxis, tuk tuks, motorcycles and driving school cars. Its private motor cover protects against accidents, theft and third-party liability, but not use as a PSV or for hire.
- Property: fire and perils, burglary, all risks, domestic package, plate glass and stock.
- Business: SME combined, goods in transit, money, fidelity guarantee, public and product liability, professional indemnity, directors and officers, and work injury cover (WIBA and WIBA Plus).
- Bonds: bid, performance, advance payment, customs, immigration and auctioneer bonds.
- Others: crop and livestock, golfers, travel and personal accident, medical, and Trident Mobile Insurance.
To buy most policies, Trident asks for a completed proposal form plus your ID and KRA PIN. For fire cover it may also send a surveyor. Before you take motor cover, compare prices with our car insurance premium estimator.
