Which channel to use
Changing or managing a booking
Jambojet says changing a booking is done through Manage Booking on its website. You’ll need your booking reference (PNR) and surname. Use the phone line if the website will not let you make the change you need, for example for a name correction.
Unused booking value (credit shell)
If you have unused value from a cancelled or changed booking, Jambojet runs a Credit Shell portal where you enter the original booking reference to find and redeem the credit into a new reservation. The portal lists the same support numbers and email for help.
Quick questions
WhatsApp on +254 740 555 333 is usually the easiest for quick questions such as baggage allowance, check-in times or flight status. Have your PNR ready.
Written complaints and refunds
Use email (customersupport@jambojet.com) so you have a written record. Put your PNR, flight number, date and a short summary in the subject line, and attach receipts and photos.
How to write a complaint that gets answered
- Subject line: “Refund request, PNR ABC123, JM flight on 27 Oct”.
- Facts first: what happened, when and where, in a few sentences.
- What you want: a refund, a rebooking, compensation for expenses, or the return of baggage.
- Evidence: boarding pass, booking confirmation, receipts for meals or hotels, photos of damaged bags, and any baggage report reference from the airport.
- Follow up: keep every reply and note the date and name of anyone you speak to on the phone.
Lost, delayed or damaged baggage
Report it at the airport before you leave the arrivals hall. Ask for a written report with a reference number, then email the reference and your PNR to customer support. Keep receipts for essentials you have to buy while your bag is missing.
Beware of fake Jambojet agents
Jambojet has publicly urged customers to “remain vigilant and only engage with our official platforms” and to verify that they are dealing with Jambojet before making any payment or sharing information. Scammers post fake “cheap ticket” offers on Facebook and WhatsApp and ask for payment to personal M-Pesa numbers.
- Book only on jambojet.com, the official app, or a reputable travel agent.
- Check the number: the official lines are the ones in the table above.
- Never pay for a ticket to a personal M-Pesa line or send a “booking fee” first.
- Confirm any booking on the website’s Manage Booking page using the PNR.
If you have been scammed, see our guide on how to reverse an M-Pesa transaction and report it quickly.
Escalating a complaint
If Jambojet doesn’t resolve your complaint, you can escalate it to the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA), which regulates air transport in Kenya, with copies of your correspondence. For disputes about money you paid, keep payment records; card payments may also be disputed through your bank.
Paying for flights
Jambojet accepts payment through its website and app. If you pay by M-Pesa, check you are paying an official business number shown in the checkout, not a number sent by a person.

One cost most contact lists leave out: Jambojet’s FAQ says booking through a sales office or the call centre adds a service charge of KES 800 per person per one-way trip, while booking on jambojet.com carries no extra charge beyond the fare. If you only need to book, the website or app is cheaper; use the call centre for problems the website cannot fix, such as a lost booking confirmation or a disrupted trip. Group fares for 10 or more people must be paid in advance to hold the seats, and block bookings are not allowed.
